Survey on Regional Crimes

Lawkaran Consultancy conducted survey through online means in which the object was to cover the opinion of the society regarding regional crimes and what is the cause of increase in religious crimes.

The aim of survey is not to offend anyone and survey only covers the opinion of the society and concludes it to know the opinion of those who participated in the survey.

Religious crimes are those crimes that are committed with intent relating to the religion of the criminal and even though the offender is committing a crime believing either he is protecting his religion or promoting it. The First question was “What is the cause of religious crimes?” and the option was Media, Politics, A specific class of people, and being Orthodox. Media includes the news which is being represented to gain more and more TRP is causing great aggression towards religious aspects, Politics includes the politician taking advantages of religious disputes and specific class of people differs from person to person’s opinion and katarwad/orthodox includes the rigidity towards religion due to which anyone who doesn’t follow their religion or does not respect their religion motivates offender to commit the offense.

16.9% of participants choose Media, 21.5% of participants choose Politics, 33.8% of participants selected A specific class of people, 24.61% of participants selected Katarwad/ orthodox and 3% did not answer the question.

The Next question in the survey was “Boycott system due to religion is appropriate or not?” as it is one of the new traits of our society that some things to be boycotted due to religion, as question only requires yes or no as the answer only these two option was available for the participants.

54.8% of the Participants selected the “No” option, which stands for and 38.7% of the participants selected the option “Yes” and 6.4% did not answer.

The next question of the Survey was “Do you think religion crimes has increased?” and this question aims to check the awareness of the society regarding the religious crimes. The options available for the participants were Yes or No.

83.8% of the participants selected “Yes” as the option which means Yes the religious crimes have increased and 11.29% of the Participants selected “No” as the option and 4.8% of the participants did not answer the question.

The Next question of the survey was “Who is responsible for the increase in religious crimes?” which was asked with the intent to know what reason should be held responsible for the increase in religious crimes. The option which was available to the participants were Media, Politics, Lack of education, Lack of awareness, and specific class of people.

26.9% of participants selected a specific class of people, 6.3% of participants selected Media, 17.4% of participants selected Politics as their option, and 17.4% of participants selected Lack of awareness as their option, 28.5% of the Participants selected lack of education as their option and 3.17% did not answer the question.

The next question of the survey was also the last one which was “Do you think legal system is capable of controlling the religious crimes?”  and intent behind this question was to know the confidence of the participants in the legal system regarding the ability to control the religious crimes in India.

58% of the Participants selected “Yes” as their option and showed their confidence in the legal system whereas 38.7% of the participants selected “No” as their option and 3.2% of the participants does not select any answer.
